Default about to light my car on fire unless someone helps me please

i have a 2000 civic ex, with a d16y8 i slung a rod and a guy gave me a d16y7 block so i put it in and in the process I broke my faic( i think thats right) check valve that sits on top of the thermostat housing and has a hose going to the IM. The top nipple broke and i cant run that hose to the IM. Honda wants 100 dollars for it and i dont have. So I am thinking about taking that faic thing off and plugging the hole and taking my intake mani off and plugging the air injection holes. would that eliminate the the eradic idling and running like crap. just so everyone is following me i have a d16y7 block,d16y8 head and intake mani, actually everything is for the d16y8 except for the block. please help me before i throw a match in it. I have been fighting with this for abour five months.

So you broke the nipple off for the coolant line leading to the FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve) and the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve). Short of replacing the part, you can weld a new nipple on. You could also get a coupler for the radiator hose that has a nipple on it. You could drill a hole in a metal coolant channel, thread it and screw in a new nipple. The metal would have to be thick enough to make good threading. Welding a new one on is the best choice. If you prep the hole yourself and have the new nipple (made of the same metal as the hole you made) ready, I'm sure you can find a local tech who will weld it on real fast for twenty bucks or something.

why don't you go to a junk yard ? it's just a thermal valve open's or closes when reaches set temp you could try just caping the line's (golf tee's work great) might run poor when cold but should be fine when it's warmed up. if none of this helps remeber not to stick your head near the window when you throw the match in
