1990 crx not starting...fuel prob.?
like the title says my car will just sit there and crank but not turn over...i finally got it to turn over and drove it maybe 75 ft. and the car just shut off...when i turn the key i cant hear the fuel pump prime or anything...and the car does get spark...im lost lol...any help is appreciated
thats what i was thinking but ive owned the car for about four days and ever since i bought it i couldn't hear the fuel pump prime so idk...the car started yesterday and ran fine then later that night is when it died and wouldnt start back up
i had a problem like this to but my pump still worked it was a brand new 255 warlbro
i just ran a switch to it to turn it off and on

My car was doing the same thing. I promise you its the main relay. They have a tendency to act retarded. You will hear audible clicks under the driverside dash everytime you turn the key a notch. Sometimes you can push the connectors and it will work again.

Its the main relay 100%. Main relay is located on the drivers side right above the hood release. Try to tap it with something lightly while trying to turn the car to the accessory position. You can get it repaired cheap and quick at wicked innovation, ask tom at http://www.wickedinnovation.net/

i do hear the click under the dash and under the hood when i turn the key to prime it...sending it out isnt really an option cant i just get a new one from an auto parts store and see if that fixes it?...and there is no cel coming on...the car was tuned so i think its disabled cuz now its a cel shift light
i changed the main relay and the car started up but i put the old one in and it started up to but i think it might be what you guys talked about how it acts retarded at times so i just out the new one in and left it alone
haha alternator sylenoid fuse is a pain in the *** for electrical problems, but everyone whos ever owned and ef or owns an ef should know that main relay is the first thing you change when you buy your car haha and **** a light tap i beat the **** out of mine at some times just to get it to work lol
oh and make sure your keys off when you change your main relay lol i found out the hard way and blew my only one haha trip to the junkyard in baggy pants gets you free one =]
