Default Anyone here use a cutout on their honda?

I know that domestic guys have electric and cable operated cut-outs. I wonder why no one has used them on honda's. I'd love to have an ITR muffler with 2.5" piping all the back to the muffler, and then right before the muffler have a electric or cable controlled dump so I can bypass it when i want to race.

Like this but cheaper...

I mean I know where I can find them, but am i wasting my time? How come no one uses them?

from the way the picture it looks like the exhuast is going left of intake into the wheel basin. Not a good idea. For the money that wood cost just remove the catalic converter every time you race. At least from a poor boys point of view.

I actually have wondered about this very topic myself. I put an s2k muffler on my loud *** EK to quiet it down and it significantly hurt my top end. I lost half a second in the 1/4 mile. Yes, I like how OEM quiet it is around town, but sometimes I'd still like to just get on it on a whim. Yes, I could just drop my test pipe, but that is a royal pain in the ***, and not something I could do at a stoplight for example.

Anyone have the thread ID of this topic if it was covered before? My alternative was to actually install a "Y" into the exhaust behind the cat/testpipe and cap it off with a bolt or something, and then undo that when I want to be a little quicker at the expense of my hearing. Not sure how practical that idea would be though.
