Default Help, DB teg no spark.

A friend of mine came over to my shop today for me to put a radio in her 94 DB Integra and all went well. When she went to leave, her car wouldn't start. I started checking the basics and it had no spark. She then went on to tell me that every now in then the car will stall out but will start right back up. I changed the dizzy with one I had laying around in the shop; the car it came off of ran when I took it off. Still no spark, so I put the old dizzy back on. The rotor button is worn, and I will be putting a new cap and rotor on it tomorrow. I then grabbed another ECU I had laying around and put that in. The car turned over a few times then started and ran smoothe for a few minutes so I shut it off and tried again and it seemed fine. After about 3 times of starting and shutting off it then lost all spark again. Now, I cant get the car to start at all no matter what I try. Any ideas?

check the wiring at the ecu, some of the pins could be loose in the connector and when you swapped the ecu they temporary made connection.

did you actually CHECK for spark visually? or are you just assuming?

Check all the wiring, fuses (especially the igniton fuses)...

what did you tap the wire into for the stereo? like, where did you tap in for remote power, and where did you put the constant 12v lead to? you may have shorted something out..

now, when you changed ecu's, you said it ran for a moment, then it wouldnt start again? you may have not done a very good job on the wiring, and you have a short, that could be shorting out the ecu's.. so yeah.. tell us where you are getting power from..

I checked all that and the car had no visual spark, I am an installer by trade and have 8 years experiance. I know what i'm doing, and everything was working fine with the stereo.

The problem has been solved, the with a simple tune up. Thank you everyone for your help.
