This is my first car, a 2002 Civic EX Coupe, and my grandpa bought it, because he has a passion for cars. So were going to go all out, and make it very nice. im going to have to pay for most of it when i turn 16, but he already has like 6,000 dollars in it. We bought it at a dealers auction for 3,900. It didnt run when we bought it, but my grandpa fixed it, because all it needed was a security thing for the key. When we bought it, it was lowered on something. i know its not cut spring because it doesnt keep bouncing it you push on the trunk. it had a greddy evo2 exhaust. dont know if its a catback or what. it also has a neuspeed strutbar. and everything in the engine is stock.

Started sanding down the car and pulling out dents. getting ready for paint in the next month or so. my grandpa already bought the paint, were painting it silver again.

 

You bought it in the condition of the first pic or is that you prepping it for paint?

What's wrong with it not running? $4k for a shell is a bit pricey.

 

probably only needed to reprogram the key since he mention "security thing for the key"

yeah, it has a stock D17, im not exactly sure, but i know he got it runing the day after we got it. it was something for the key. we got 2 new keys and a security thing. sorry, i dont exactly know what it was. but it runs, it has 104xxx miles on it. i printed out the carfax and it has a clean title.
Build wise were just bringing it back to stock. then i plan on using my own money for a lip, fogs, hids, and all that good stuff. the wheels i was thinking about getting are drag dr16s, which are the same as rota gt3s, accept cheaper. after i finish with the exterior, i plan on getting some simple boltons for the engine. headers intake, stuff like that. Then ill work on the interior. but i have no idea what i want to do with that yet.

We got it all primered up. My grandpa already blocked it once, now we got to primer and block it about 2 more times. I have pictures of it blocked, but ill add them tomorrow. their not on the lap top yet, just the camera. Anyways, heres it primered. Sorry for the CRAPPY cell phone picks. All of these are just crappy pictures nothing special. Sorry.

 

Thank you sir. Its takes awhile to do stuff ive been building my car for 3 years now, i went throught a rice stage now im going the uk look, i got acouple updates in my thread juss got the uk tail lights (really rare) but keep up the good work..

 

yeah, i really wanted uk tails. but it sucks because their too expensive for me. i cant even get a job till im 16. so all i can do is mow lawns. but ill be building my car for a long time. i wanna sace, and buy real parts. but my first wheels are going to be rota's,... so not everything is going to be real. haha. well at least, for a while.

 

workin on my car tomorrow. trying to figure out if its worth spending 300 shipped for uk tails or not., not completely sure what i want to do, my grandpa might need me to buy other stuff for the car at this stage of the process, we still have to primer and block it a couple more times.

 

Buy what you need first then buy the goodies.. trust me.. if you buy all your goodies now you wont be able to get the project finished but u would have tails,rims,ect ect

 

Yeah, thanks for the input bro, i need all the help i can get. haha. But for the most part all we need, is a new front bumper, tails, floor mats, carpet if possible, and i think thats it for now.
