How to build the perfect motor
Lately i have bin seriously thinking about building my own moter from scratch
some people say that it will cost me less and it will be alot easier to do all the work at once then to keep taking the motor out and etc...So i am asking what everybody would think is a good combination also with a semi reseanable budget in mind what:
Block
Head
Cams
Rods
Pistons
Etc..
Also i have a garret t3 turbo that i plan on putting on the motor so keep in mind that i am going turbo thank you

Thanks for giving us the detailed info....
but since you're going boost......as for the motor I would just go with a b18c1.
As for the rods, pistons and cams, give us more info....

I've heard this also. Supposedly you would have more potential if you turbo'd a B18B, non-vtec. You'd still probably want some newer cams - do they make aftermarket cams for the Non-vtec B18?
yess either a b18 or b2o..
however i think theres a better aftermarket for the b18...from wat ive seen..
nice,light boost cams,retainers,springs,
then u got a good choice of pistons,rods,crank,sleeves..

b18 valve trains work on b20s. crower and crane both make cams for the b20
heh i was at a shop last week talking about my b20 turbo project. owner told me to bore out a b18 to a 2.0L b/c the cilly walls on the b20 are thinner... b20 is a bored out b18
same block, end up with same sized walls anyway

...............and if your a balla on a budget you can turbo a zc, not the best idea but its cheap
The perfect motor was made by Honda . It only becomes less perfect when we" F " around with it !
