I have a 90 crx. There seems to be a constant whineing noise coming from around the air cond compressor. The air works fine but its a new noise that started all of a sudden. The niose increses with engine speed and its always present while running.. Its not loud but noticeable. Any way to test the compressor clutch? How difficult to replace? Thanks.

 

when was the last time it was recharged?

 

I bought the car a little over a year ago and it hasnt been driven much. But i have used the air and it works fine for now. I checked the little window and no bubbles. My guess is its the clutch on the compressor but i dont have any experience with this problem. Anyone here had problems with this? Car has about 85,000 miles and its a 90 crx dx.
