1994 Civic Si - no A/C from factory.

JDM B16A engine, came with A/C bracket. (I'm assuming the same as a Del Sol bracket).

I bought an A/C system today from a '95 EX (uses R-134a), but I opted for a B-series compressor because the guy had one handy and I assumed it's what I needed.

But do I really need a D-series compressor instead? Because I just read that the Del Sol VTEC uses a D-series compressor.

 

yup. the b-series lines will not match up with the d-series mounting points and compressor. if you have the del sol si vtec a/c bracket you are golden and can use the d-series stuff. make sure you hold on to that bracket because they are near impossible to come by at a junkyard, and honda wants almost 200 for one. hasport, makes one for 100 if you ever need another tho.

The lines are from a D-series, but what your saying is that they won't match up to a B-series compressor?

So I DO need a D-series compressor?

Yup, I already have that bracket. Came with my JDM B16A, (it's the same bracket). And I'm going to use the D-series lines, so..... which compressor?
