B16 head is a PR3-? head not P30 and the B16A2 comes from a 99-00 Si NOT Del Sol.....what year head doesn't mean anything, dizzy not part of the head and there is no way of verifying mileage anyway....nothing OBD specific about the head!

think again...look at your b16 head by where the distributor bolts on to the cam cap. what do you see? "P30" GSR of course will say P72.


i have a head off a 2000 si B16A3. its complete with a bare manifold off a 92-93 GSR, B17A1 motor that come with a B16 head. pm me an offer. i can even throw in my Polished CTR distributor if you need one. lmk

 

the stamping on the back of the head that you need is "PR3-2" i have one on my current LSV.

 

That is just a cam seal idiot! ALL B16/B17/B18C5 are casted as PR3-? an there is NO WAY you have a 2000 Si B16A3 as that is from the Del Sol VTEC (B16A3) 99-00 Civic Si B16A2!!!

You are both right haha the B16a3 was released in the first few years of Vtec DelSol..
the B16a2 also came in the Vtec Del Sol in 96-97 and then ofcourse in the 99-00 civic si

so! what I need guys is a B16 head from the year 1996-1997 k?

not GSR not CIVIC Si

sorry for all the confusion.. and the reason it needs to be specific is because I need to get my Mortor BAR'd here in CA and the refs can tell the difference.

OP if your interested in any other year B16 heads lmk i have a spare b16a2 (99-00 Si) and my buddy has a couple first gen heads. 1 or 2 i think are tapped for LSV

hey and btw.. I just went out and checked my head.. by the distributor its just stamped 2 just 2 and then on the front above the exhaust manifold it is stamped PR3-2 so what does this all mean? as far as I knew my head was original to the motor. all JDM.. which I dont want

I didn't mean you, I meant the guy with the jacka$$ avatar.

Look at the date stamping the first 2 numbers on the ex. Manifold side will tell you what date the head was manufactured. So the next year up will say hat year car it came out of. The one I have on my car is a (9/3) date stamp so it's off a 94 del sol. I have already sold the intake manifold and distributor that had originally came with the head. So all you gotta do is check the date on the head and get back to us

 

well the first date is 90 and the 2nd date is hard to see becuase of the header shield.. so i know its a jdm something .. so it cant be used.

up for a usdm 96-97

 

Unfortunately, I can't make out much in your vid.....except a Mugen(ish) valve cover, header, distributor and dirt!

 

actually my type r head is 30 as well, and my b16a2 (99) head is 30 as well.

pr3-3 = 99 spec b16a2 head
pr3-2 = 96 spec b18c type r head
pr3-1 = should be first gen obd0 b16a head.
