aight i took it to a mechanic and i just ask them to change all my dry belt,timing belt and water pump and they say they recommended me to change my belt TENSIONER.. do i need to change my belt TENSIONER sorry for the sloppy sentence and thanks for helping

i would ima mechanic too and most of the ones i see the tensioner breaks or become weak. maybe 40.00 for a tesioner compared to the head being repaired or replaced cuz the tesioner went bad

 

i always replace the timing belt and tensioner together. just a good habit and rule of thumb. its one of those cheap dumb lil things that can bite you in the ***.

 

yep, you should. It's cheap to do while you're in there, and catastrophic if you don't do it and it breaks.

 

I inspect the tensioner every timing belt change. I replace the tensioner, regardless of the inspection results, every other timing belt change.
