my 89 crx si gets really squirly on the road?
Would anyone have any idea why my 89 crx si, get really squirly going down the road. alot when you get on it, it is lowered, but so is my integra, and it drive down the roaad just fine.
well i have a kid that wants it , but he says he dont want it cuz its so squirly. in my opinion, its not that bad, but i gotta get it fixed cuz i need a daily , and the crx dont have a title ;( so hes gunna trade me a DD
then get under there and double check his work, are the bolts tight? did he in fact replace everything or just tell you that? i always double check stuff when another person touches my car

you need to be more specific when you say "squirly". do you mean vibration, pulling to the left/right, overly bouncy, or what exactly.
pulling to the left/right
-outer tie rods, meaning your Toe could be jacked up instead of your tires pointing | |, it could be like | \.
vibration
-again with the tie rods, if one tire is turned slightly to either side, you'll have bad vibrations the faster you go since one tire is essentially "draggin" while the other is rolling forward.
overly bouncy
-shocks blown, springs worn out.
but over all you need to get your hands dirty and check all bushings, bolts, and nuts related to your steering/suspension. wont take long, just jack up the front end and look for worn out bushings, tug on your LCA's and see if there is any play.

First thing I would suspect would be the toe-in maybe or a loose tie rod. My friend has a Mini-S and his car was doing something similar and he found out that after he had Global Imports BMW (The devil) work on his car (this was not the first time they screwed up) that the tie-rod was not bolted down completely and that caused some...how should we say...interesting handling characteristics
