How is it in term of reliablity for you so far? Anything minor (window/lock stop working, oil leaking, cd palyer broke) or anything major (engine damage, transmission slip, overheat).

I'm looking at an 02 rsx with 92k miles and wants some opinion of long time owners.

127000 miles so far. All the issues were sorted out during the warranty phase for my car. The third gear was replaced due to pop out, grind. So drive it and find out if there are any trans issues. Motor mounts tend to go so get underneath and check the front one especially for torn bushings or just plan to replace it. Headlights will haze, sunroof surrounds may get rusty, tail light gaskets leaks are all easy things to check for and correct.

I got 133xxx. Still runs fine except for the wiper thing. Other then that and a few minor things. Engine still runs strong.( As long as you take good care of it.)

Holy crap! That seems like a lot too me! Then again, I don't remember the last time I paid for anything to be done to my car.

It's worth it when it's 10 degrees out and you don't have a garage

there are some floridians that OVER REACT when it comes to weather. the minute the weather drops below the 60 degree mark, it takes up 20 minutes of news time.

I'm in jersey. All that money I spent on maintenance is about how much I spent on the Mazda for monthly payment and insurance.

well if your in jersey..that's another story.. but i still wouldn't spend $300 on something you could have done in a friends garage...

I just did an oil change last weekend and it was literally 15' degrees outside... I just wore some coveralls and I was fine, only took about 10 minutes. But if you don't have a garage that's a different story.

It's all good OP I'm just giving you hell....at least you put your money in the right place, it's important to have fresh fluids (that's all Honda's really need). Should be good for another 90k miles now

carry on

I have done my oil changes in the rain and in im los angeles, of course i was under a car canope but still i did it in the cold.

It feels good when you do your own repairs/maintenance and know you are saving yourself a couple bucks which will add up when you look back and add up all you have spent on repairs and such by not taking it to some shop to get it done
