i did a motor swap on a 97 civic, I put a 99 engine in the civic (just wanted to flip the car) . The car runs great but I keep getting a dist. mismatch code. I cant sell the car with the check engine light on. Now I tried puttin a 99 dist. in the vehicle but the harness and dist. plug do not match. I know in 99 they went to the obd2 emission system, but is there any way around this. Any ideas? I was thinkin maybe swapping crank sensors, cause maybe the crank pulse is different in 97 and it is not matchin up with the cam sensor in the 99 engine.. I would really appreciate any help from anyone out there.
thanx... birdie 856

Default Re: civic

not 100% sure if this is the issue, but you put an OBD2B motor in a OBD2A car.
