my buddy has a 95 accord. when he puts it in drive it doesnt jerk forward like it should.. but he has to give it some gas and rev up to like 3500 rpm for it to barely start rolling same thing with reverse anyone know what it can be?

 

How is it while driving or shifting? Does it feel like it slips at all?

 

Transmission fluid is probably low. The pump could be going out as well, but I'd add fluid first.
