Blown/ Knocking Block Replacement options k24a1/a2
I never would have thought the day would come that my new si motor would be knocking. But here is the situation. My oil reach 15% last sat and instead of me driving my car around i decided to leave it parked at hm in the garage. That sunday morning i Drove it to EZ Lube(Biggest Mistake) since Honda was closed who always does the mait on my car since i first bough it in 08. So I payed 72.62 for full synthetic mobil 1. So as I was walking talking on the phone i notice the guy going back and forth from the car. So I approach him and ask what are you doing Can you just do what i payed for which is the oil change. He replies back saying yea im having difficulty so i said look can u get a more experienced tech to get the job done. So he calls his friend I watch him. Then i go inside to pay after he was finished. My friend was inside and says i Just watched him go back and put one more oil in the car i think he didnt put enough. So i ask him to check it to make sure he check and it appeared to be fine. So I bring in the new yr with my Gf and friends and family as im driving back hm my friend pulls next to me(in his 09 4dr si) and was like aye i saw smoke man wtf is going on then the worst happens i start hearing a clicking noise(spun rod bearing noise) and I had the sign of disbelief. We pull off the freeway and pop the hood we tried to take off the oil cap. The oil cap was to tight for some odd reason so 1 1/2 after we get the car towed to my house my friend pops the hood uses pliers and removes the cap and lord and behold water in my ****. I was so pissed i flipped out. So now my Si is down. But Im already starting on some options since i Have money to Fix it but was wondering/ asking for some input.
So Im leaning more towards a k24a1 Crv Block with the transfer of the oil cooler, high compression pistons, rings and connecting rods. Or a k24a2 Tsx block

Yea max new Yrs Eve was cool u should have hit me up i was in the San B area just basically chillin. Yea I have both intake cam and exhaust cam in my closet now. I went back to stock for the time being since i was getting ready to supercharge it like i mentioned to you. But I contacted Hmotorsonline and they have the tsx long block for 1900.00 so I was thinking about going that route and then selling the tsx head. But how was new yrs man. Dude i gotta link up with you guys once i get this damn block installed. So im going to order the longblock on monday now i just have to find a legit shop to install it and warranty.
im mis understanding something here. would you like me to call the oil change shop for you ? Seriously that shop has a duty to fix your car....its called a job...they break they fix dead serious. they have to do it.

How do you know for sure they put the water in your motor?

I really do baby my car. I have alot of performance mods to have power but that doesnt mean i was beating my car in the dirt. All my mods were installed by honda which I have all my reciepts and have the diagnostics per visit that proved how much I babied my car. And my it was a milk chocolate color the color you get when you mix the two. And Max knows I baby my car because I bought flashpro the first day it was released and didnt install it because I wanted to make sure everything was perfect before I did. Took me over 2 months to install it. This sucks because I ordered a stage 2 Comptech Supercharger with the 3.15' pulley.

My car has been tuned at church, so tunning is not the key. You might be right in regards of them denying it but I have a witness and its on camera and i called them and out of a sudden they discontinued mobil 1 from the selves hmmmmm so yea its really starting to get interesting but regardless of the fact im getting her back up and running and start the legal process

And this is why I hate you, you are a ****ing troll that shoots off his mouth and knows NOTHING. I used to work at one of those oil change places, they all have cameras and they are insured, to keep their nuts out of the fire they pay out when **** like this happens.

Trust me, the lube's insurance company will not just write a check because someone says water was put in the motor just on hearsay. Show me the proof.

how about we get off what the lube place did or didn't do....does it really matter? does it affect you personnally?
OP, go with a built K242 bottem end being that you bought a supercharger. A stock one tuned properly would do fine too.

and his mods are just bolt-ons. and dont say the cam can cause it to spin a rod bearing, because it cant.

how can i show you proof when its not my car? why dont you have the op post up what he has? i know D personally and i know he isnt lying. he already said that the tech was doing something suspicious by walking back and forth to his car.
and how the hell can you leak coolant into the oil when doing a cam swap? you dont even pull off the head to swap a tsx cam. also note that the honda dealer did the cam swap.

i highly doubt this guy babies his car 24/7... Anyone who modifies their car will gun it at least once.. I mean why put on all the mods if you aren't gonna push it once or twice??

I have contacted Ez lube corporate and they have already started the process in regards of getting my motor replaced. In the meantime I have found a k20a type r block that I can install. Max hit me up im only off on sunday monday but I get off work at 6pm everyday , So let me know.
