Default oil burn in vtec

I have a 2000 integra gsr with 130,000 miles on it. it is completely stock motor and trans wise...only a full 2.5" SS exhaust.

PROBLEM: When i hit vtec i can almost instantly smell a strong burned oil smell...outside of vtec in low rpms it is fine. I have had it compression tested 2 weeks ago so i know its not rings. i understand that the motor has a significant amount of mileage so valve stem seals are a definite suspect. no visible leaking when i look in the engine bay.

any input? ive heard pcv valve can leak onto exhaust amoung other things

that's just what gsr motors do. I'd say valve seals

any oil leaks anywhere around the outside of it, leaking oil out at high rpms from high oil pressure, landing somewheres on your exhaust?

Sounds like you diagnosed it yourself, valve seals. It'll usually smoke a bit in the morning as well after being parked all night.

ya i guess thats right i just find it odd that i can smell it from the front of the car ya kno? but i suppose thats just the blow by from the valve seals. it also needs a valve adjustment so that might also have something to do with it. ill check my exhaust tomorrow..too damn cold today hah 31 for a high are you shitting me lmao
