99-00 civic si cd player in 91 crx hf?
Will it work? what will need to be done for it to work? The reason im asking, is because I can get one for little to nothing, so I want to see if it's worth it. Thanks.
Yes it will fit in the stereo cavity. Make sure to get the right connector spliced into your exisiting stereo harness and also to get the CODE for the stereo or else when powered up, all you will see is the word CODE.
When you cut the power to the newer factory honda radios, you need to enter a 4 digit number into them before they power up. That number is given to the original owner of the car the radio came in. Honda dealers can also look it up if you give them all of the numbers off of the bottom of the radio, but you'd better either have a good freind at the dealer, or some kind of proof of purchace from the original owner. The purpose of the code is to make sure stolen radios can not be used.

I was able to sucessfully "socially engineer" a guy at the honda dealer into giving me the code. I pretended like I was just a dumb consumer and my battery had to be replaced and that now my radio wouldn't work and asked what "Code" meant and all that stuff. He eventually just told me the code hehe.
