Icon6 b16a wont turnover

so my buddies b16a wont start its in a 94 eg hatch

we turn the key over clicks rapidly and all lights cd player and fuel pump are working just doesnt start. it ran good before we got it but the kid we got it from did the head gasket and it hasnt started since. til we pull start it last night it fired up and idealed but still wont start.

we have checked the
- grounds
- tested the starter 3 times (autozone)
- charge the battery and put a new battery in it

could it be
- dizzy
- ecu
- timing

any help would be great we just want to get this car start and on the road.

thanks for the info and advice!

Not a distributor or timing problem. These might stop it from starting, but they wont stop it from turning over at all.

The fact that its clicking means the starter is receiving a signal, but it doesnt have the power to start it.

You tested the battery, but how about the batter terminals? What is the condition of the wire that runs from the battery to the starter?
