Has nobody ever done this swap? 2.5l I5 SOHC, 173Hp 170tq, those numbers seem really nice when you think about it. And after a little build, 12.5:1 Pistons, Cam, I/H/E, Tune, Im sure we can see upwards of 250. Yes its non-vtec, but I've seen crazier so I know its possible. I'd like to see if anybody has any info on this.

 

the numbers look great on paper, but if you've ever seen one you know instantly why it won't work.

the motor is mounted longitudinally. any feasible plans for a swap would involve cutting a huge chunk out of the firewall, dash and rear subframe... not so good.

also the CV axles come out of the oilpan and the block is like a F22 with an extra cylinder... long!
