It all depends on what you want out of your car. 4-2-1 will give you better mid range and 4-1 will give you better high end power.

get 4-1 if your gonna do just drag and get 4-2-1 if your gonna do autocross but its not that much of a difference you shouldnt have to worry about it.

thats right! but also to concider is a 4-1 will generally give you worse ground clearance at the collector. but yea 4-1 will possible make you loose bottom end power and give it back in the top. the 4-2-1 will give you smoother power across the board. can i suggest a hytech replica. i got one and its very nice. blox now makes a nice tri-y now too. for a good price

nascar pretty much only uses tri-y, im not a fan of nascar, but building a 358c.i. engine making about 900-950hp for 3 or 4 solid hours is quite a feat........a ridiculous amount of research goes into those engines.

my personal thought is tri-y, im not a fan of engines that dont do alot of things well, i like low end torque, i like top end power, i like mid range.......i dont like an engine that does only one of these things well. plus i think tri-ys look better.

oh lol almost all b series motors look alike but only the b16b and b18c type R came with the red valve cover, but anyone can buy the red valve cover. also since you have a d16 i dont think they make 4-2-2-1 for those motors.. question for you, are you gonna swap out the motor or keeping the d16?

see im going to boost my d16 most likely, until eventually swapping K or a good built gsr or something nice. For now tho, im going to keep it, and build the d.

i thought 4-1 gave you better ground clearance, or at least thats what DC sayd in theyr product description. but this car is mainly a street/dd so i wont always need high end power, except when tryna get home fast lol. as much as i'd like to get a replica and save cash, i dont want to be cutting corners that ill have to fill in later, too much $ in the outcome :'(
