So I was on my way to work yesterday. My driveway is incredibly steep, and there was still a skim coat or snow on the driveway. I live in upstate, NY for anyone interested. Once i hit the downward slpoe of my driveway, the tires locked up and the car took off like a bat out of hell. i slid about 100 feet down and into a tree, about 3 inches in diamter. Severed the tree from the ground, and I stopped a few feet after that.

I pulled the car out and luckily I, as well as the most of my car was ok, however my HFP front Lip and front bumper was badly dented and cracked, as well as a wheel well cover ripped a little.

This is mainly my fault for taking so long to put my snow tires on, and my driveway is treacherous in the winter. i am not upset, just put off because of the financial burden of having to fix the car.

However through my investigation, I have decided to put the 09+ front end on my car. The only added expense is needing to purchase the grill, everything else is the same price.

So out with the old, in with a newer fresher look. Welcome to 2010 i guess.

Oh well just wanted to vent a little.

Damn dude not nearly as bad as i was picturing it earlier... If you didnt want an excuse to do a facelift that could probably be fixed

I was really expecting something much worse.

 

At least the headlight didn't get damaged..

 

its worse that picture kind of sugar coated it...and not fixable Ev. the bumper cracked all the way up to wear it creases towards the headlight, and the plastic stretched and is all warped. I just havent had a chance to fix it and i banged alot of it out. also all the clip tabes broke so its ziptied in right now till the new plastic comes in.

 

Ah ok, yeah its hard to tell its that messed up in the picture... So is there an HFP lip for the facelift bumper? I dont know **** about the 09+.

 

 

I personally think that the 09 doesn't need the lip kit. It looks great without it, IMO it looks better without the lip.

 

I only want the front lip because I have a back lip on mine. I think it would look silly with just a lip in the back.
