Are these the same exhaust? Also are they good exhaust or just make good sound? I want to get a setup going from headers to exhaust tip but before I put them on I'm gonna get all the parts needed and weld em. What do you guys think?

 

I Believe that the V4 is the newer version of the q300, I checked with some companies and they did away with the q300 and said the v4 was the replacement.

 

Q300 is the exhaust and V4 is just version 4. I have one on my S as we speak. I like it alot. At low RPM's its nice n deep, but when you get up on it, its actually pretty quiet to me. But this is coming from a WRX owner who had a straight through 3"turbo back exhaust. But all n all i like the invidia alot. Could be louder up top for me but my FIPK makes up for the soft exhaust sound up top.

I got mine for $660 with a 70mm TP w/CEL fix so im pretty happy with it.

Also mine comes with the blue tips...i didnt know when i ordered it, but make sure you specify if you want the tips. I think all the new ones come blue tipped, but i prefer without the burnt look. But i guess ill get used to it. And for HP numbers, i didnt dyno it so i couldnt tell you, but it feels alot nicer driving it than with the OEM.

I have the Q300 or V4 exhaust (they are called V4 by forum guys go to Invidia's site they are called Q300), I like it. It is very quiet and stays that way through the RPM band. I have the regular non-burnt tips, the burnt tips came out recently. I like the burnt tip look better and wish they were available from the start. For the price they are a good exhaust, will you see HP gains? Most likely not unless you are FI, as the stock exhaust is well designed from Honda.
