Is there a general rule for a certain amount of weight off/more hp a car will take how much off 1/4
when i had my mustang, the general rule was 10 hp = .1 at the track and 100lbs off your car meant .1 at the track. is ther esomething like this for hondas? thanks

-100lbs = -.1 sec
I think it's pretty much a "rule" for any car. Correct me if I'm wrong...

I think that "rule" was made concerning V-8 muscle cars. In a honda on other 4 cylinder with alot less torque I think that it takes off more than that.
I heard that every 8-10 lbs you shave off is like 1hp, but obviously you cant see it on a dyno or anything, but I saw it on a show about physics, and some professor used a whole bunch of physics formulas and stuff to figure it out, not just a myth, or billy bobs guess, cool stuff.

I've heard 100lbs = .1
I've heard every 8 degrees temperature drop = .1
I've heard every .1 you drop off your 60' = .2 in the 1/4
I've heard too many, "I've heard" stories...lol
