Just wanting to know whats the part number for this Hood undercover from the civic 96-00
I dont know if it there or not
Only what I saw was SR3 in the centre

That's an OEM hood insulator. It retails for approx $140 before tax & shipping and is NOT available in the US. However, it is available overseas from Honda. I'll see if I can locate a part number.

honda dealer told me they didnt have one for my year of production 92-95 civic =(

 

The US dealers sell parts for US cars.....that was never offered in your generation, that's why!!!

I don't think the usdm EK gen has it either

 

Got it! The hood insulator part number is 74141-SR3-000 and it comes with all 9 clips to secure it to the hood. It fits 99-00 civics. Also, US Honda dealers will not be able to order this as they ONLY have access to USDM Honda parts.

I don't give out part number to many people because I'm tired of people trying to make money off of me. They ask me a part number, buy them in Dubai (just happens that's where the people who do this live) and then try to sell them to Americans for more than they paid even though the parts are available elsewhere.

I'm tired of people using me to make a buck by ripping off other people. You can get these parts a lot cheaper than the people who try to sell them to you straight from Honda.

 

Nofx tell Honda to streamline their prices then..

He's not doing anything wrong by asking what the part number is. Geesh...and if he did want to sell it...why are you so worried about it. That is none of your business. He has to make a living too. I'm sure he's not the only overseas retailer that sells parts to Americans. He does good business.

 

Maybe you missed that I get PMs about this all the time.

I do not want people to make cash by ripping other people off using my help. They can find their part numbers elsewhere. I don't want to be used.

Btw, I picked up two hood insulators for $100 a few months back. One was used, but only basically for show from what I understand. They were both in great condition but I only got clips with one of them (the one that was used I imagine had trouble removing the clips). It was easy enough to find clips that fit it.

I bought these from a local and they are OEM.

Since it wasn't a "must have" part I was willing to wait to get it.

Not sure what they normally go for, but that's what I found them for here stateside.

Oh, and sorry if it sounded like I was pointing fingers at you. I didn't mean it like that. I've just gotten lots of PMs in the past about part numbers and it gets old since the people asking usually seem to want to either make a quick buck by purchasing in their home country and sending it here or that they're convinced that with a part number they can order ANY part through US Honda dealerships.
