'94 Accord 4dr WEIRD sound coming from Heater Blower
So about two weeks ago i started noticing that whenever i use my heater/ac fan there's a little clicky type sound that is unisen with the fan speed, so it doesnt get louder when i turn the blower to a faster speed but the sound goes faster once i turn it up. Iif u could imagine a little piece of paper just barely nicking a blade of a home fans then that what it sounds like. Its just an annoyance so far it hasn't affected the function of the heater fan but i'm a bit woried that it might get worse or is a sign that the fan is about to go??? and i am in the process of selling the car so id like to fix it beforehand, it might not be a deal breaker but still it might be unsettling to a potential buyer.
oh yeah for what its worth the noise seems to be isolated to the front passengerside of the car when im driving...
Thanks in advance

Remove your heater blower motor (front passenger side of the car), clean out all the leaves and dirt in it, then put it back in. There's going to be a lot of crap in there if it's the original blower motor.
Ok, that sounds like a reasonable cause, but is that easy to get to and do myself? or do i need to bring it a shop, any tips while doing this?
Ok, i will take a look on the weekend, but are u certain its only 3 screws to get it, i did a search and found heater blower replacement threads fro 90-93 accords and civics, it seemed like a lot more work than that to get to the blower. also, what i'm after is the actual blower fan right? not the motor i need to clean out the white circular fan thats attached to the motor, corect?
90-93, remove glove box, remove heater control unit, remove under tray of control unit, remove blower motor. 10 minutes with air tools, 30 minutes by hand.

Just read the title again while browsing, do you have a 93 or 94? If 93, follow previous instructions, if 94, it's only the three screws.
what i meant is that YES i own a 94 but when i did a search on here for similar issues the closest thing i could find iwas a thread that was for the 90-93 year model. Nonetheless i will check and see if i can indeed get to it by simply removing the 3 screws you are refering to.
Glad I found this thread. I'm looking into doing the same thing on my '94 Accord. My problem started with the noise that you describe. I've put up with it for months, but now, the blower sporadically does not turn on at all. Sometimes, it comes on after driving for awhile (with the same noise). This morning it was 15 degrees and the fan did not come on. Bummer! I'll be looking for those 3 screws this weekend. Did you have success with solving your problem?
I just finished pulling out the blower/motor and did clean out some pine needles and a couple of small leaves (it was a challenge getting that back screw out - had to use a ratchet and flat head adapter). I reassembled and the blower came on for me, but still making that noise. As long as it comes on, I can put up with the sound. I just need AC in summer and heat/defrost in the winter with the crazy Texas weather and all. I'll let you know if the blower stays on and it's not just a fluke.
