yeah 17"s on that car will be ok as long as u dont put like 20"s on it.remember the bigger the wheel the more rotation mass thus makin you car slower

get a 17" wheel that weighs less than your stock 16" wheel. don't forget to include tire weight when calculating the weight of the new wheels.

going from oem 16 inch ex wheels to any 17" aftermarket wheel is going to be lighter unless you get one of those ugly chrome wheels.

The tire is the heaviest part of the wheel/tire combo, the further you push this weight away from the center axis the more performance is negatively affected.

it is true that when a wheel is bigger it takes longer to make a full rotation and that will cause your car to be slower and it can also throw off your MPH gauge making it inaccurate. but in your case a 1 inch difference wont cause much change or atleast anything noticable. an easy way to keep everything normal and to give u less worries is to buy a tire with a smaller profile if you are going to buy a bigger wheel. try to make your wheel+tire diameter equal to your previous 16 inch set up and everything will remain pretty much the same.

last post is good.
changing wheel size should affect your speedometer accuracy.
why bother for a 1 inch look. oh, but it is good for the economy.
