Default 96 H23A1 Repair questions

Hi everyone, first time poster here and I'm in a bit of a pickle.

So my Harmonic balancer went a few weeks ago and when it did i guess it threw the timing off, found that out today when i had it at the shop. Well they fixed the timing and low and behold it wouldn't turn over.

They checked the compression in the engine and only one of the cylinders had compression and was told the valves were bent and is common when the timing is thrown due to being an interference style engine. Well, they hit me with a 1200.00 repair quote so i lol'd and had my car towed back home.

Anyways now my questions

1. What are the chances the cylinder head was damaged by a valve?
2. If all i have are bent valves, then the only thing i should need is a new valve set and cylinder head gasket set correct?
3. Is Ebay a reliable place to get parts? For what i just listed, id be looking to spend 150ish instead of 320 if i bought them from the shop.
