Default Another speedometer problem!!

Okay, I have a 1995 CX hatch. My speedometer is going nuts and I've tried everything on this forum that I've searched. When it gets to 80mph it's fine, but everything before is bouncing everywhere, also to boot my damn odometer and mileage tracker is not work proper. If someone has some more things I can try that would be great.
If I need a new gauge cluster, how do I verify the mileage?

Have you checked the vehicle speed sensor and its wiring?

Bought a new sensor and check all wiring to and from.

Well I'm not sure of the wiring myself, but if the odo and spedo are controlled by seperate wires from the ECU then the gauge shouldn't be the problem. If the gauge calculates both from one signal then the gauge is at fault. Find out which wires run from the odo and spedo and check them from end to end. If the connections are fine, either the gauge cluster or ECU will probably need to be replaced. The best way to replace gauge clusters is to note the previous mileage. Take a pic before you switch them so there's a record of the previous mileage and it wouldn't hurt to have the VIN# in the pic. Some odo's can be safely rolled by hand to the previous mileage but sometimes it breaks the gauge. I don't know which can be rolled because in a professional environment changing odo's by hand is a big no-no and therefore not something I do.
