i dropped by the local junkie today and i found an 87 teg with the brown top valve cover (if it matters) i was going to take the throttle body but i wasn't sure if it would fit on the A6 intake manifold cuz i need one for it and i can't an Si one around here. if anyone knows for sure that the 87 teg TB will work on the A6 IM and if the teg TPS will work with the Si ECU let me know ASAP! preferably before tomorrow so i can go back there and yank it!!!

and oh yeah a local EF owner is trying to sell his 88 Si tranny with a 2 month old clutch, pressure plate, and resurfaced flywheel. would it work on the D15b2 block??? my car is a 91

 

itll fit a ZC i know for sure and teh si trans will fit ur car

 

aren't the splines different between the 88 and 91 ??? so you aint sure if the TB will work, huh?? i looked at the TPS on the teg and its different from the Si, of course, but i think it would work if i take the plugs also...anyone else??

 

as long as u get the clutch pressure plate and flywheel u will be ok...btu u deff need it all to make it work...the TB is mostlikely teh same anyways the tps is the same but has a plug extention on it

at first i just needed the TPS but now i need a TB w/TPS cuz i screwed up the linkage where the cable hooks on to. its the only thing now holding me back from starting my simple dx to Si head swap...

 

now that i think about it it may work take the intake manifold there with u and test fit it if they will let u...i think it will fit

 

**** dude i reinstalled the manifold to the head already but i did leave the TB off wouldn't that be easier ??? i just gotta make sure the holes match which they seem to be from what i can remember...

 

and oh yeah what about my 91 axles will they go right in with no hassle into the 88 Si tranny ?????

well just got back from the yard and got my 87 teg TB w/TPS for FREE! it was a near perfect match between the Si and the teg TB! i brought the Si TB in the yard with me and then i swapped it for the teg TB and walked out acting like i didn't find anything. now i just hope the TPS is working fine. the color on the wires are different though from my civic TPS plug. which one is which ???

 

just reverse the out wires from ur dx tps and plug it in ullbe fine

 

but theres three wires, i checked and which one am i supposed to reverse??

 

I know this is kinda off topic but is the zc tranny the same as the first gen USDM teg trannys.
