No more rice for me!! I'm going JDM/DFH style!!
Well guys, I gave up on the idea of the yellow paint, the wide bodykit, the airbag suspension, the 18" wheels, etc. Instead I have decided to go with a JDM frontend conversion, H22 motor, 16" wheels, vision corners, etc.
Just thought I would put that out there for all of you to enjoy. Seeing all of these clean *** cars on this board has made me change my mind. Thanks for bringing me back from a neverending maze of windshield lights and L.E.D. tips.

Good job
It's always good to get that mentality stopped in it's early stages. Good luck on the H22 Swap. IMO though, even JDM is played out now. I mean, it looks cool, but nearly everyone has it or they are getting it
For me, I just want CLEAN.
Edit: Don't get me wrong. It's your car, it should reflect your tastes. So if you like JDM, Do it!!! It'll still look good.

I know everyone has it but that isn't why I am doing it. I am doing it for the simple fact that:
1. It is a very clean style
2. I could use the JDM hood since I will need the clearance for the H22
3. Not many people here in my area go JDM(i.e. http://www.fullyequippedcc.com )<--RICE!

Thats good! I wish i could afford some JDM stuff. It looks cool and original... in my area ne ways. Here, youre lucky to find anything cool. i am the only EF in my town(besides another dude) without ****** APC stickers. its sad, just sad.
JDM stuff can never be played out. Its the japanese stock! If its rice, then I take it when people buy their new Nissan 350Z, and Misti Lancer EVO that they are rice because they have stock as well like everyone else? But if you get a bodykit, to most people that is rice! So what is normal/non rice? Stock is not, JDM stock is not, Body kits are not considering to some people. People in a way contradict them selfs by saying JDM is played out and being rice. You can not play out a stock style. People will have it, whether its a standard across the ocean or partially available here. Body kits on the other hand are played out way to much, for instance I bet all most like 70% of the people here with a 4th gen Civic, or 2nd gen CRX that have a body kit has the WW RS kit. Is it nice, yes. Is it clean, yes. Is it rice, no. Is it played out, in a way yes.
Here where I live, JDM.. blah, that is like non existent just about. Body kits, and rice equipment: hood leds, led tips, led valve stems, strobes, neons, etc. are the abundent group. It may seem like everyone has JDM equipment because you know 100 people online who has nicely done JDM conversions, but that does not make the whole USDM have it. There would be no JDM if it wasnt for the Japan market for holding things from being sold here. There is no right to call someone rice, or playing something out to make their car look like what its supposed to be, which is nicer then our counterparts.
Well, sorry to cut that short. I got homework and I dont know where that rant came from.

Too expensive for me anyway

why are you doing an H22? people in japan do not drag race hondas, and that is all that you CAN do with an H22...
hondas weren't made to go fast, they were made to be a good car to scoot around town and with a little tuning, made to handle extremely well.. please, reconsider the H22... all it's good for is going straight and spinning those 18's...

i am so sick and tired of h22 bashing. i am doing this same swap and no i don't plan on racing it in any way i just want a fast daily driver for me. shutup with this whole h22 thing its getting goddamn annoying, we know how it doesn't handle and so on you don't ned to try beating it into our heads, obviously we don't give a damn if we are still gonna do it.
You don't see many h22's in 88-91 hatchbacks, gee I wonder why. Why don't you talk to the people at area51 to see if they'll put an nsx motor in your car? That'd be one fast daily driver that ya don't race ever.
megan wa wa wa...u know u like goin around turns fast id still prefer technology over displacement....take all the $$ ud spend on a h22 and the mods and put that towards all kinds of mods to a b16 and the b16 will out perform teh h22 ....unless u destroke the H22 to a 2.0 then we can talk but first and formost its not a great engine...a b16 is a great engine...almost perfect...the h22 is offy when compared to a b16....my opinion just like big blocks arent as good as small blocks(domestic talk sorry) more displacement isnt always a good thing..B20 if u want displacement
because if i really wanted an impossible motor swap i would do that. i have seen it done before and wasn't impressed. madhavi motor sports did it in atlanta. that is just a plain hassle swap. i don't care if a lot of people have one in their cars, thats another reason it stands out to me, not many people have them. i don't want something everyone else has in my hatch.
dom about turns, yes i like turns that is why i am buying a track car and i just bought a crx. if i wanna take some turns then those are the cars. b20's are becoming the new fad and i don't wanna part of that. i have seen numbers from a h22 swap and i was impressed, i have seen numbers from a b20 swap and wasn't all that impressed. the b16 is a great engine but honestly i don't want that engine anymore. it isn't fast enough

everyone wants to be different but eventually they arent really at all....when u coming up here to get this stuff its waiting for u
btw H22 is a hassle ill never do such a thing...wait till u see wut i do put a h22 in
