Urgent: How To Disassemble Taillights
Hey guys,
I'm working on trying to tint my taillights, and I remember people saying that if you do it from the outside it will look crappy and they should be spray-tinted from the inside. I have the taillight assembly off of the trunk of my sedan and the bulb/electronics are removed. But I cannot figure out how to take the colored plastic face off of the rest of it to get to the backside of the taillight face. How do I do this? Or should I just spray-tint the outside of the taillight while the taillights is laying on the ground. Finally, how long should I let this stuff sit for the tint spray to dry?
Let me know,
Ben

Oh damn, I don't want to do that. Should I just try tinting them from the outside while they are laying on the ground? I'm just doing a light tinting. Is there a way to remove this stuff without damaging the OEM taillight plastic/coloration? And how long does it take for this stuff to dry?
Thx,
Ben

There is anther HT member with tail lights like that. It's a Black teg. I forgot his User name.... He was selling his wing a couple months/weeks ago.
You can put it at the oven at a very low temp to warm up the glue and then pry it apart. You may have to do it several times because the glue will cool pretty fast and if you pry to hard you'll crack the plastic. 150-250 deg f max
