Gotta New baby..
I don't know if anyone kept up with my recent post..but I was doing a project build for a customer..customer wind up flat out not wanting the car...so I buy the whole thing off of him for 600 even.
For 600 bucks..I wind up with..
a 1995 Honda Civic Coupe EX w/ JDM h22 Vtec. Mahle Gold Series Pistons/Eagle Rods, s300 Hondata ECU, Lightened FLywheel, Stage III Clutch.
600 bucks is a straight up and down STEAL..I already have a 1990 Acura Integra, that i'm building from the crank up and the Money I was paid to do this h22, has went into building the LS..giving him 600 for a car I could turn around and sell for over 4 grand will never sound like a bad idea.
The Car HASN'T been tuned, and so, I haven't been driving it, but I KNOW it's a gunner...my question would be at this point...Is there ANYTHING I can do to it to ensure that when it goes to the Dyno, it'll be putting down at LEAST 200 at the wheel? (I know in stock form, Jdm h22's make 200-220 at the crank) Will the mahle high compression pistons be enough? I can Afford to keep both cars, and if it's gunning at over 200..I WANT IT. Any insight?

My question at this point would be, knowing that the pro 3's would yield wonders, but also knowing i'd rather save them for when I'd turbo the car (next year), could I see the 200whp without them? With them? Can I run the stock cams on this particular set up?
Opinions, is what i'm really looking for, I don't wanna go ***** out on a N/A build when I'd rather wait until next year, sleeve the thing and THEN go TURBO. I was also interested in seeing Rosko for the RDX Intjector/Fuel Rail part, adding a 225 Fuel Pump, and a fuel regulator. So my FOR NOW SET UP would be..
Mahle 12.5:1 High compression pistons
Eagle Rods
S300 Hondata ECU
9.5lb Flywheel
Stage III Clutch
Rosko's RDX/Custom Fuel Rail
225 Fuel Pump
AEM Fuel Regulator
Custom Exaust Header
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
AEM Cold Air Intake
I want to save the Skunk2 Pro 3 Cams for a possible Turbo Application in the future...but yea, on the afformentioned could you see a projected 200whp on a Good tune or would the cams be absolutely neccessary NOW for it to happen, if it can happen at all with them.
Pro3s for use with a Turbo?! Mmmmkay.......I don't think that will work very well.
IDK how they'd fair out with 12.5:1cr either. I think they recommend more than that.
You can run the stock cams with the setup, but why bother?
I don't make guesses about dyno passes anymore. There's just too many factors that play into it. Starting with, but not limited to the Dyno you use.

Let me be the breath of fresh air, buy the car and part it out. Trust me, if you get decent money for the stuff you mentioned you'll be able to build your car to your vision which is far more satisfying. Power in liquidity (money)
but I think NA with that build you're good for 200whp on a good tune. No reason it won't, and if it doesnt just go on a dynapack and you're good for sure!

I think at this point i'm going to do some more research and see some other builds similar to mine.
NirVtec, why are Skunk2 Pro's bad for boost? I've heard nothing but good things about them but if you have a counter experience please do share and make a suggestion to a better cam over stock for both N/A and Turbo Aspirations.
