i installed race header last night i lil pain in the butt if you have no lift.But anyways i haven't had a check engine light come on yet. just surfing around to see if anybody has had there come on.I mean if anything i can buy a o2 sensor simulator it worked once for me when i had my 02 wrx.but i wont buy it if my light doesn't come on....by the way i have no cat.......but i guessing it will come on here pretty soon

 

yes, with no cat on there you will get a CEL. You need to put a spacer on the second 02 sensor to get it out of the exhaust stream. That usually takes care of the problem.

if you plan on getting fp, u might as well just hold out on getting the defouler.
because u can disable the secondary o2 sensor on fp. but anyhow, the defouler only costs about 4 bucks. and your cel is gonna come on eventually.

 

Ima eventualy get fp. But for now ima get the o2 simulator off ebay that worked fine for me wen I had my wrx n never came back on n I had it for a year after I put the o2 simulator. But well see tax times comining so who knows.n I got a family so dat realy my 1st priority.question is it hard to use flash pro or do u gotta take it to a shop to get tuned.can u diy

it just plugs into the obd2 port. read the instruction paper that comes with it.
the calibrations are good enough. you can get it tuned, but i wouldnt unless you're doing more than bolt-ons.

Cel finaly came on but I should b geting th o2 simulator in the mail pretty soon so not to worried.but does the cel bien on make the car run like on limp mode or what cuz I can't tel the diffrence

 

well i have had my check engine light on from my race header for more than 4 months now n i cant tell a difference...ive even erased the light and i ran it just as hard as i did with the light on n it feels the same...theres no difference...

 

Well I can't tell the diff either but da damn lights so annoying.but car does run good tho

 

yea it is...i use to reset the light every other day but that kind of got old...but to tell u the truth ive gotten use to it

 

I had the CEL light come on shortly after installing my RH and tried using two different o2 simulators without success. I tried the short one and the angled one. I finally got the FlashPro and it's gone for good. I hope you have good luck with the simulators!
