Help On 91 1.6L ZC JDM SI motor...LOTS OF INFO
I have a 89 Hf body with a 91 1.6L ZC JDM SI engine from Japan. I bought this car from a guy that put some kind of headers with Dual Exhaust madnaflows. Nice BUT I think it needs to be ditched. The intake is from Kregan its nothing SPECIAL, I think it needs to be ditched too.
The Suspension is KYB 3/4 INCH Drop, I don't know what type exactly. Im thinking about upgrading to SKUNK2, TEIN........Now the guy put 15' Rims that look nice, but I don't think I need them. Should I go back to stock and sell em? I know there are some good rims out there whats good/great/awesome BUT I WANT PERFORMANCE?......
((((RIGHT NOW I HAVE TAKEN APART THE FRONT DRIVE TRAIN....WHAT SHOULD I REPLACE? CONTROL ARMS? ARM BUSHINGS? BALL JOINTS? ECT...)))))))
ALSO does anyone know of anything that would make my car run better or faster? I don't want to do much to the engine. I'm thinking about upgrading in the next year or two to a B18C OR something close? Anyone know of good swaps?
I just bought a used SL3 transmission (Local Yard) with a Stage 1 Perfection Clutch (NAPA AUTO PARTS) the transmission is out of the car. IM going to be putting it in real soon, I just want to know if there is anything else that I should get before the install?.....
FINALLY MY SMOG IS COMING UP IN JANUARY 2010 SO I KNOW THERE ARE THINGS THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED or REPLACED BEFORE I CAN PASS........

when I was taking out my transmission and clutch, I found out thats its for a 91 SI CRX so I assume it was a 1.6L engine.....I THINK ITS A JDM ZC SOHC 16 Valve D16A6 BECAUSE THATS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE....I HAVE THE PGM-FI.....

2. specify if you got the SOHC ZC or DOHC ZC
3. if the car has good suspension and a healthy drop dont mess with it same with the header/exhaust and intake
4. 15' is good on EFs and CRXs just dont go any bigger than 16
5. if your engines running clean and its multipoint(which it should be since its a ZC) just plan on bolt ons and save up for a turbo instead of going B series

and also about the ecu...if your car is SOHC ZC (single cam 1.6 obd0)
your best choice is running a pm6 ecu and maybe some maps depending on your use for the car...
Hey thanks again for the reply....Yeah I think I need to get new spark plugs+wires+all new seals.....What type of gasket seal should I get 91 CRX SI 1.6 Gaskets?...I would hate to buy parts that wont work on my car.....I dont think napa or kregan would know what type seals a d16a6 would use....or would they......
Now with my ecu I dont know **** about them.....Why do I have a integra 91-94 ecu? What would the different ecu really do to my car?? Is it hard to install and what not?.....

to the OP, if you have a sohc obd0 zc, it's the same motor exactly with the exception of the camshaft which is only very slightly different. Just treat it like a usdm Si engine, you'llbe good to go. That include the ecu you run!
Yeah I need to take a closer look at my 91-94 Acura Integra ECU? I wonder why its installed?....I have a D16A6
