Never heard of one. I'd be pleasantly surprised to find out that it was factory built and not just a photochop, or a CR-V stuffed beneath a Civic.

Its definately not a photochop... I was googling images of a Civic Ferio to find the exact position of the badge and this was one of the pics that I came across.

Even the 92-95 sedans had 4WD versions. Good to know they're still doing this.
But what about the 8th gen?

Nice! I knew about the previous 4wd's, but hadn't even considered the possibility of a 4WD 7th generation Civic. I just assumed they discontinued them years ago. Good find!

This has definitely sparked some interest and will require .. .. it will require .. ... ....... I need more pictures and info.

A friend of mine always goes to Japan at least once a year, about eight years ago he brought me Civic Ferio brochures, this was a factory install. I always thought this would be good sale here in Canada, however Honda Canada Inc did not want to import them, i am sure it would sell better than hybrids here.

Totally. 4WD Civics or Fits in Canada would be fantastic. It's crazy! Why are these cars just in Japan?!!

well on the last link I posted... the car sells for roughly around $2500 US dollars and then I clicked the link on that page to figure out the shipping to United States on a 20ft container which is $1800. so ur looking at roughly around $4300 at a RHD ES2 4wd. And that's without all the stuff you have to deal with to be able to drive the car in the United States/SMOG for cali folks....

Was this ever available in Coupe?

Would be nice to make it RWD only without heavy modification.

I'd really like to drive one to see how well (or not) they handle. I'm not talking about amateur rally racing, but more to see how well it performs in snow, mud, on ice, etc.

i would love to have one of these in a coupe i think they would be wicked. excellent to have AWD in the snow since we get a fair amount of it. i just think of it as a CRV Chasis i guess
only 7 more years thanks to our import laws ( unless they make LHD).

i wonder what drivetrain that car uses...

i also wonder how much power is left over after accounting for driveline losses...

i'd love to see pictures of the underside and interior...
