If she can't drive clutch she may not like it. Its just extra work and if she gets in tradfic she will get irritated. I would just get a ex 4door. You have an sti so that should be the fast fun car and just make the ex civic reliable.
i get what you mean but the thing is that she wants to learn how to drive stick and the si would be perfect for it also it would be the dd, sti only for winter and maybe some track since i have never taken a 4wd car to it, and the hatch would be my fast fun car know what i mean?. Also im putting the downpayment so i told her if i do that i will choose the car cause ill be driving it too, and i really dont want a automatic slow 4door civic might as well get my moneys worth if im going for a 20k dollar car.
I get whatcha mean. Yea if she's willing to learn and you will be driving it too then go for it man. If the funds are right and its what you want get it. I love my si and so does just about everyone in this forum.
then it is done ill try and get a 09 or 10 maybe white or black but next time i post here will be to show you guys the car and if i dont post then it means they wouldnt let me get it
wish me luck

x2 my wife is very happy with her 09 Si
They are easy to drive, but an automatic might be the ticket for your wife from what it sounds like. I can foresee her with a new baby crying in the back and trying to start from a stop going up a steep hill and not being happy when things go wrong...but you know her better than me. If she is a quick learner she'll be fine, if not you'll be buying a new clutch and possibly fixing damage to the car. The safety of your child is more important than having a sporty Civic IMHO.

hmm idk I know they're hasnt been any problems yet with the 09'/10' models in regards to 3rd gear pop-outs.
06-08's have that problem but it is covered under warranty. But some of my friends have gotten that fixed and still had the same problem. I say get an 09' right around this time of year you can get a good deal on it.
lets us know how it goes

LOL.. yeah my girlfriend can't drive stick either.. not cool.. But the one benefit is she can't ask to drive my car because she doesn't know how so I love that part..
i get the whole saving money thing, but im also gonna drive the car and the car she has right now sucks!!! so like i said i wanna get my moneys worth.
edit: Yes i have a sti, and a ek hatch but those cars arnt my d.d. exept for the subaru during winter time since its snows up here. so i think a si sedan would be a perfect car for a d.d.
2008 or 2009.
You can find them for a steal right now, Why pay dealer price, and losse 25% the second it drives off the lot. I know you going to keep it somewhat stock, so that is a great option.
The only brand new car or truck you ever buy brand new is for business!! PERIOD.
Exmaple:
Why buy an EVOX (brand new) then add I/C piping, exhaust, bigger turbo, etc. If you ballin, why not.
But I learned to buy 1 year off save mucho $$, and have the best of both worlds.
Just my $.02

warranty covers anything that goes wrong with the car within the warranted period.
but honda dealers tend to turn down pre-mature clutch wear and blame it on either driver abuse or driver error
