Car Bogs and Rpms drop???

Car Bogs and Rpms drop???
So i just bought a 98 Civic ex last tuesday and like the title says the car begins to bogs down and the rpms begin to drop every once in awhile. I am also not getting the type of gas milage that I think I should be getting. Does anybody know what this could be? Thanks.
