How low can I drop the subframe/engine on F22b2
Trying to drop the subframe/engine.
Would it be possible to drop it about 7" with sway bar/radius rod/transmission attached?
I'm going a timing belt change, but also need to gain access to water pump bolts from wheel well.
Thanks.

I don't think its necessary to do so, because you can gain acess to those water pump bolts & t-belt with the timing covers off. Its just time consuming.
The main reason I need to drop the engine is to gain access to a broken water pump bolt - to extract it. The bolt in question is the top right near the cam pulley.
It does seem to be too time consuming, and I may try putting some hondabond at that top right corner of the water pump, bolt down the other 4 bolts and hope it doesn't leak.

Ahhh... I see. If thats the case, yes, you'll need to remove the motor. Why not just yank the motor from up top? Unless you don't have a cherry picker.
a cherry picker wouldn't be too bad to rent if you would rather pull it out the top. seems like the easier option to me but i may be wrong. money could be tight though (i know how that is.) just another option
