Default Race gas or not race gas, that, is the question.

On a GSR, b18c1, what would be a safe amount of boost to run on exxon 93 gas or sunoco 94? How much power would this yeild?

I want to try to go for 300 on street gas. is this possible without burning my wallet?
This is the rest of the stuff thatll go with the turbo.

Like almost everything on a turbo appliction, tuning is the key factor.

yea thats key. I have a DSM friend that tuned 420hp on 94 octane pump gas with a FP green on his GSX...it took lots of tuning but he has the dyno to prove it.

Im close to around 200hp @ the wheels on my 91 octane wonder d-series motor so getting 300+ on a b-series shouldnt be overly impossible...my friend makes ~350hp on a b20/vtec with 10psi of air on 91 octane.

Standalone time?

liam

added: Take it to a dyno, and start turning up the boost...once you cant turn it up anymore without detination and or engine blowing up you know you have a limit!

besides ignition timing,
compression ratio is a factor too, right?

Is 9.0:1 good for pump gas (93 octane), and not feel laggy around town?
or can it be higher with 93 octane?
