Default P0301/P1399 Cylinder 1misfire/manuf. ignition sys control or misfire

1998 civic EX 5 speed. DOHC vtec

Well, I have been having issues with my car misfiring. Eventually an engine code came up... P0301/P1399. So cylinder 1 is misfiring. I found another post with the exact same issue it seems:

One of the replys mentioned about checking a ground wire from the transmittion.. well I replaced 2 ground wires to solve a problem where my car was not even turning on (power was gone) and i replaced them, turned the key, started my car up and this happened... so would this cause a misfire?

I got 4 new spark plugs, new distributor, new ign coil, new roter, new cap, new spark plug wires, new starter, new cat coverter.

One thing i did notice is that it does not act up until about 5 minutes into the drive.. and it does not seem to be a heat issue, for my engine was warmed up and it didnt act up until about 5 min into the drive.. so does something happen around that time?

Like i said, my original problem was my car not having any power from the battery.. it was a bad ground. So i replaced 2 grounds, one from in front of the battery (also connected with the neg terminal wire) which runs down near the starter (may be a new chord just to get a good ground, i didnt do it so I dont know if there was anything there before hand) and the other one is from the passanger side panel to some metal piece above the transmittion.

Main question.. would a ground wire issue cause misfire?
