Default Uh oh, I found a hole. Help!

I have had a fuel leak for a while now and couldn't find it till today.
It is under the car in something next to the fuel tank on the drivers side.
I don't know if it is the fuel tank though.
The hole is an 1.5" to 2" long and about a quarter inch thick.
What should I do? I am planning to sell the car soon and don't want to do too much work.

Thanks

its hard to say. looks like you hit sumthing according to the last pick
but the other pics looks like its just made that way and you have snow or condensation driping. dry it up with a rag and then try to start the car

You got 2 options,

1. replace the gas tank

2. sell it as is and make sure that the new owners are aware of it

Let's say you do not fix it and you sell the car. If you tell the New owners of it then it's cool so they know and it's up to them to fix it. If you didn't say anything about it and then something happens to the car (fire or explodes) could you live with yourself?

Gas leak is serious and should be fixed immediately before something bad can happen.

Oh and please no cheap repairs for this, like I said this is a serious problem which can cause lost of human life as a resault.
