I have benn thinking of getting a zex kid for my rex but i don't want to be replacing pistons left and righ. So my question is, How meny shots of nitrous could my zc take? i would probly only use a 50 shot or less.

If your getting a ZEX™ kit you dont really have to worry about NOS™ messing up your engine.

j/k I love your way of thinking man!!
double thumbs up for all of the smartasses here!!
Zex in lack of better words is considered ***** nitrous. Putting in 55 shot or 75 shot wont' do too much harm to ur engine as long as u don't arm and activate it where ever u go. The problem I find is more of stability and security factor. There have been cases where cars been rear ended and the bottle explodes.
If u gonna take this risk might as well really go crazy. Do up ur pistons, rings, copper head gaskets etc and drop in like a 200+ shot of NOS (not Zex) wet injection system

How bad it mess up your engine all depends, assuming you already have the basic bolt ons I/H/E you should be fine. A buddy of mine put a zex kit on his 92 Si and fried his rings the first night, he also had a stock exhaust. We ran an open header with the kit and it was alot faster. About 1 month after the kit was on he blew up his motor, 4 holes in the block and only one good rod. You could see through the block it was kind of cool. He also works at a shop so they through a D16 in the next day. Just make sure your motor can breath and a 55 shot should do no harm.
for nitrous systems, i feel its most important that u get a good installer on it...a small shot like 55 shot should be fine but dont squeeze every chance u get...it will not mess up your engine right away but i PERSONALLY feel that through out the years of squeezing, it will shorten the life of your engine...
nitrous is very tricky..if u ask 10 different nitrous "experts" the same questions, u will probably get 10 different answers...
however, if i had to do a nitrous set up, id definitely choose a direct port set up..even though its more expensive for the kit and labor for install, its well worth it considering its safer than wet and dry and u can probably SAFELY squeeze a larger shot.

thanks for the info. i know how to insatll the zex kit it isn't hard i will probly run 55-75 shot but i won't flip the switch very much though. and by the way i just say nos short for nitrous. I know NOS make a wet nitrous system too.
