Just got the c1 into my 00 civic over the weekend and the wiring done for the dizzy and injectors. Got a obd2 alt. Now when I start the motor up it's like the rpms are searching almost. It will rev up to almost 4500 then drop down to 500 then up to 4500 and down and so on and so forth. I was wondering if this could be to the fast idle control. the motor has not yet reached normal operating temps because it started leaking oil out of the crank seal(oil pump). So i shut it off. Possibly vacuum leak? Also I dont have the iab hooked up because i dont have one. still running stock gsr intake. I know that the butterflies will just stay open and i am fine with that till i can afford a S2 intake.
Anybody had any issues with this?

Sounds like a vacumm leak to me.... check it... make sure everything is connected..

 

My thought to but do you really think a vac leak could cause that big of a jump? i've had vac leaks do similar but never that high
