i plan on running a Z6 head on a B2 block. i have searched to figured out which head bolts to use but i cant find too much info on the set up. i do know and plan on moving up to studs in the future. can anyone lend a hand on my search?

use the b2 head bolts...!!!

 

cant be that easy. thought there is a difference in height of the z6 head compared to the b2/a6...?

 

Basically,

You need to measure the thread length on the B2 head bolts and then measure the thickness of the Z6 head. At that point find a corresponding grade 12.9 bolt that will fit and use that. A bolt like that will only run you about $2.50 each. A 12.9 grade bolt will be much stronger than OEM head bolts and will not stretch.

 

I had the same setup in my old coupe and i liked it. But i suggest you go straight to the studs. then you wont have to deal with it later...

 

dude i would get arp head studs for a d16z6 and that will work what i usesd on my a6/z6 build
