Quick question about mufflers
Hey fellas,
Would it be, theoretically, possible to take an old weld-on muffler from my car, and put it onto a new exhaust system? For example, let's say I bought a universal muffler for my stock exahust system, kept it for a while, then bought a completely new exhaust system. Now, I really liked the sound on the old muffler I bought, and I want to integrate it into the new exhaust system. Can it be done?

Yes yes it can. You just cut it off and weld it back on. Easy as pie. You can find at your local auto parts store (or online if you want SS) reducers to match the tubes if the exhaust and the muffler inlet aren't the same size.
