I have searched for this but have not been able to find anything, not sure if im doing it right. Anyways I am currently in the process of swapping an LS into my EK hatch, but I am having problems finding out the correct throttle cable for it. I have heard that the stock EK one works, but it seems to be too short. I am thinking of buying an LS throttle cable but i dont want to buy it without making sure it will work. Can anyone help me out?

 

LOL, use an LS throttle cable, it will work great!!

 

weird the ls will be longer hahaha...i used the stock d series cable just ghettofied the bracket. heres what i did

Look, typically, when you do a swap and don't want to have to mess with the throttle cable much, the easiest way is to p/u up 2 items to be on the safe side!

- throttle cable of the engine being swapped
- cable bracket for the intake manifold of engine being swapped

I've done this for many swaps myself without problems. Even in my CRX with a 2000 model B18C5 type R....i used the matching 2 parts, worked like a charm in my 89 crx

You can re-use the D-Series cable with a "modified" bracket.

 

see my d series bracket faces the wrong way, I tried to modify it, but it was impossible for me, and i broke it. So im probably going to buy an LS one, but Ill test it off my friends LS first.
