Ok guys I need some help I have an 89 civic std hatch. the problem is I have no brake lights when i turn my headlights on. They work perfectly when they are switched off but as soon as I twist them on boom no brake lights. Ive checked all fuses switched all new bulbs and have replaced the headlight switch with a known good one (off my friends car) and replaced the switch at the pedal. also dont know if its related but i have no high beams too. please someone help me.

 

i have the same problem, what i did is i turn it on lightly not full force. light enough where you feel the click. that might solve your problem.

do you have the right bulbs in your brake lights?
#1157 bulbs.

and there shoud be a realay check them. (under the hood)

 

Do you know where the relay is located under the hood?
