I have a crx ZC motor and cant figuer out what is wrong. When i drive the car for a lil while when i come to a stop the RPM stay at 2k and some time go from 1k to 2k. Not sure what is wrong. And when i tap the pettle the car will bog down then go as normal. I think it might be a throttle postion sencer not sure if this car has one. Any help would be great!!!

 

sounds like the throttle position sensor

 

sounds like the idil air control valve is sticking . use throttle body cleaner to clean throttle plate and spray it in the hole's by plate then if idil is still surging try unpluging IAC with motor running then plug it back in and yes it does have a TPS sensor has 3 wire and is black on side of throttle body also was your car an si or dx if it had a 1.5L you have to switch the two outside wire's in the TPS swith so it reads right

 

Hey ty guys for all the input. Ya i thought it was the idle controller but the guy at auto zone said it does not have one. But they dont know crap it is a SI. I will try all that stuff and if it does not work i will repost. Ty for all your help guys.
