Hey wondering if anybody could help me, I'm having idle problems with my TB. it happened when i was in DT Seattle and i didnt see a big dip in the ground full of water and after that my TB started idling high. When i first start it idles fine when it warms up and im shifting and the rpm's go up to 3000 then i put it back in neutral it stays at 3000 and sometimes even goes higher 3500+. When i rev it high all the way up to 5000 rpms it returns back to normal idle while in neutral gear. I'm thinking that the throttle body is messed up so i open up the hood rev it up to 3000 and while its staying in that area the throttle body doesnt shut all the way down i hold the lever that controls the opening and closing of the TB and it goes down to normal idle. I've cleaned the TB and it still is messed up, is there anyway i can resolve this problem without having to buy another TB? or is it another problem besides the TB? tps sensor sounds like your problem...either that or the butterfly isnt closing which would be caused by dirt and grime. maybe try cleaning it again and maybe put some wd40 on it to lube it up some and open it up and close it. could also be caused by your throttle cable not letting the valve close completely
