i have a 97 JDM b18c type r engine I recently i got into an accident, the head is cracked because of the powering steering pushed back and the head is just little bit cracked. everything inside works fine. i need some help to put it back together on the road. i was wondering if i can get a type r head housing and give it to a machine shop they can put it back together?? let me know people if you have an idea about this?? thanks.

 

i would just have it welded.

or just take any PR3 (only make since to be a B16A) head to the machine shop to swap all the R internals into it, reface the valves, and surface the head.

 

can you weld the head its aluminum??

I got a Type R head for sale. It has been built valves needs to be rebuilt. Its been ported by RLZ racing and has supertech springs and retainers. I will sell it for 400 plus shipping.

 

aluminum is very easy to TIG
